Carbon neutrality and Climate Active

This post has been updated in Dec 19 to reflect the re-branding of NCOS to ‘Climate Active’

We are experts in helping organisations transition to renewables and zero net emissions.

Net zero emissions/carbon neutrality

Our methodology for helping clients become net zero or carbon neutral is based on a mixture of energy efficiency, onsite and offsite  renewables, as shown below.

Climate Active inventories and accreditation

We develop both compliance-based inventories, as well as full Scope 3 (supply chain) inventories. We are a consulting partner organisation to Climate Active and have helped many clients with their accreditation. In addition, we keep track of carbon accounting questions of our clients and are currently developing a best-practice carbon accounting guide for Australian businesses.

We have an 8-step methodology for helping our clients become accredited to the Climate Active. However, some of our clients have a target to become carbon neutral at some date in the future and need to plan for Climate Active, rather than becoming accredited right away.   In these instances, we focus on delivering steps 1-3 to deliver a Climate Active-compliant carbon footprint and associated costs.
