Cassora Platform - 100% Renewables

Cassora is a climate reporting platform that helps organisations calculate, manage, and report their greenhouse gas emissions in a structured, consistent, and audit-ready way.

Cassora is currently used by more than 70 local governments in New South Wales, with rollout supported by the NSW Government. It was built for the local government sector and will be expanded to other sectors over time.

Built from more than a decade of hands-on experience in carbon accounting and decarbonisation, Cassora reflects how organisations actually collect data, set boundaries, and report year after year.

The platform replaces fragmented spreadsheets and manual processes with a single system that improves data quality, transparency, and reporting efficiency

Current focus

Cassora currently focuses on emissions accounting and reporting, providing a strong foundation for compliance and decision-making.
Key capabilities include:
  • Annual greenhouse gas inventories aligned with reporting expectations
  • Clear audit trail of data, assumptions, and changes
  • Consistent treatment of emission factors and methodologies
  • Collaboration across sustainability, finance, assets, and operations
  • Automated dashboards and year-on-year emissions tracking
  • Export-ready outputs to support reporting and assurance

What comes next

Cassora is being developed into a broader climate reporting and planning platform.
Upcoming capabilities include:
    • Climate risk and opportunity registers
    • Target setting and performance tracking
    • Transition planning and action tracking
    • Integrated reporting across emissions, risks, and strategy

Built for reporting and compliance

Cassora is designed specifically for climate reporting and compliance. It is not an energy management or utility billing system, but a platform focused on delivering consistent, audit-ready reporting outputs aligned with emerging disclosure requirements.

Designed for organisations and groups

Cassora supports both individual organisations and coordinated groups, such as portfolios, programs, and regional partnerships.
It enables:
    • Shared data collection across organisations
    • Reduced duplication of effort
    • Aggregated reporting at group level
    • Clear ownership and control of data

Get started

Cassora is available to local governments through coordinated programs, including state government–led rollouts, as well as through group licences for regional partnerships and direct licensing for individual councils.

If you are a local government, you can access Cassora through an existing program, trial, group arrangement, or direct engagement.

Below is an example for a cumulative cash flow model of the implementation of a net zero plan using a combination of a revolving energy fund, loan-funding and financing from the budget. Savings from emissions reduction projects are put back into the fund to enable further projects to be implemented.
